Exacq Extreme Programming - Version 2.7 Coming

Extreme Programming 13Version 2.7 of exacqVision IP video surveillance software is coming, and this weekend the engineers engaged in another “extreme programming” session to iron out all remaining issues and solidify the code for release.  (Previous “extreme programming” coverage here).

A key feature in exacqVision Version 2.7 is Event Monitoring and Virtual Matrix Switching which we profiled here.  There are also many, many enhancements to existing features, from improved audio support and improved client configuration to a substantially improved ePlayer app.

Version 2.7 will be available the week of August 13th on our downloads page.  As always, new versions of exacqVision software can easily be installed in existing systems while maintaining all current settings.

More pictures of this weekend’s extreme programming session are on our flickr photo page.

Welcome Mark Szalwinski

Welcome - Mark SzalwinskiWe’re pleased to announce that Mark Szalwinski has joined Exacq Technologies as Regional Security Products Sales Manager.

Mark is no stranger to us.  We had the pleasure of working with him back when we owned Integral Technologies, where he was the Regional Sales Manager for the Northeast.  More recently, he has been the Midwest Regional Sales Manager for NICE Systems.

We’re sure that many of our exacqVision resellers know Mark.  If you’d like to say hello and welcome him to Exacq, you can drop him an e-mail at mszalwinski@exacq.com or by phone at 1-317-845-5710 x230.

Welcome aboard, Mark!

Extreme Programming - Exacq style

extreme programming 8One of the familiar sights around Exacq is the engineers engaging in “extreme programming,” where they get together in a room with their laptops, and with multiple exacqVision servers fully loaded with analog and IP cameras, alarm inputs and outputs and POS/ATM connections, and hammer out all of the remaining issues before a new public release of the software.

As we get ready to release Version 2.5 of exacqVision, TJ, Dan, Jim, Mark, Matthew, Sean, Brian, and others have been working away cleaning up all of the remaining issues identified in the beta releases and release candidates.  We make sure there is plenty of pizza and Diet Coke to keep them going.

Some pictures from Wednesday are below, and there are more on our flickr photo page.
