NAVCO at NFSSC 2007

NAVCO at NFSSC 2007The National Food Service Security Council (NFSSC) is holding their annual convention this week in Orlando.  NFSSC is a trade organization of loss prevention and risk management professionals of the major casual dining and quick service restaurant chains.

NAVCO, an Exacq systems integrator, is a long-time vendor partner of NFSSC and is once again exhibiting at the conference.  What sets them apart at this conference is the spectacular video surveillance imagery they are showing by using multi-megapixel cameras from Arecont Vision combined with exacqVision IP video surveillance systems.  With video clips taken from actual customer installations using exacqVision IP video surveillance systems and Arecont cameras, NAVCO showed rich, detailed outdoor and parking lot video footage, with a single camera able to clearly see detail of every car, of people’s faces, even of the businesses across the street.

The other clear NAVCO differentiator is the ability to offer exacqVision Pro hybrid systems, enabling their customers to continue to use their existing analog cameras while adding the higher-resolution IP cameras going forward.  This provides a compelling, cost-effective way for food service companies to leverage their existing video infrastructure while incrementally adding higher-resolution IP cameras as the need permits.

Our thanks to Les Brazzel, Jeff Kane and Angie Barnes at NAVCO for their support at this conference.

Armida Technologies expands video surveillance capabilities

Armida TechnologiesWe are pleased to announce that we have partnered with Armida Technologies, manufacturer of unique wireless video security products, which will enable Armida to offer the exacqVision IP software as an option with the ArmidaWare SecurityController.

The ArmidaWare SecurityController is an integrated wireless controller that provides a consolidated point of control for surveillance and a reliable communications platform for other security functions, such as access control and alarms. Combining a video server, a serial controller, an Ethernet controller, and wireless transceiver in one box, the SecurityController dramatically reduces the effort and hardware required to set up a wireless CCTV network.

Armida’s CEO Bill Lawrence is certainly enthusiastic about the new offering: “We found a great match for our SecurityController in the exacqVision IP software. Both products’ open architecture allows our customers optimal flexibility and scalability in wireless video surveillance – whether upgrading infrastructure or configuring a new system. We are pleased to partner with Exacq to offer this product.”

Armida Overview

The ArmidaWare SecurityController, includes:

  • Ability to feed video from up to 8 cameras (analog, digital, wired or wireless)
  • 802.11 a/b/g WiFi, 900 MHz, 4.9 GHz, or 802.16 WiMAX connectivity
  • Ability to function as a DHCP server and wireless access point
  • Power over Ethernet (PoE)
  • Ruggedized enclosure for outdoor use
  • Long range transmission capability

Armida’s patent-pending Videlity™ software mitigates packet loss that exists in traditional wireless networks, providing reliable transmission of video while overcoming typical interference and degradation.

We’re excited about working with Armida and their unique wireless products.  More information on Armida is available on their website at www.armidatechnologies.com or by calling them at 1-888-344-9834.

exacqVision Down Under @ Security Australia 2007

Zone Advanced Protection Systems @ ASIAL Security Australia 2007Our representative for Australia, Zone Advanced Protection Systems had a booth at the big ASIAL Security 2007 trade show at the Sydney Convention Centre in Australia this week.  They were showing their key product lines of exacqVision, ioimage, Sago, and IP cameras from Axis and Arecont Vision, among others.

Many prospects and customers stopped by the booth over the course of the three days of the show.  Bill Nolan, the Managing Director of Zone, was certainly enthusiastic about how the show went:

You guys as we have known from day one have designed a truly, impressive product and you and your crew are to be congratulated,” he told us. “It was a great show for us and you.

Bill was particularly excited about sales closed at the show that involved exacqVision and megapixel IP cameras.  With exacqVision software, you can have multiple views from a single camera, recorded and viewed independently, as if you had multiple cameras.  In one case of an outdoor application, one of Zone’s customers has an Arecont 5 Mpixel camera aimed at a point of interest.  In one view in the exacqVision IP software is the full wide shot from the camera, and in three other views are particular areas of interest that have been digitally zoomed in.  This gives the user the capability of seeing multiple areas of interest simultaneously, as well as the whole view, recording them all independently as if they were separate cameras, but it is all done with one camera.  This is a unique feature with exacqVision.  This particular user has multiple outdoor sites, and is using multiple Arecont cameras in a similar manner.

Our congratulations to Bill and the crew at Zone for a great show, and our sincere thanks for their continued enthusiasm and support of our products.  Zone can be contacted in Australia as follows:
