Report from ISC East 2006 - Day 1

exacqVision at ISC East 2006The first day of the ISC East show has finished in New York City. We’re showing the exacqVision IP Video Surveillance NVR in the Winsted booth. While Jack and Dan are at the show, the rest of us have been watching the show in real time through exacqVision clients running on our computers. Here’s a glimpse of what the Exacq station in the Winsted booth has been like, from both analog and IP cameras hooked up to the exacqVision system in the booth:

Exacq to present at IP-in-Action New York

Our own Director of Engineering, Dan Rittman, has joined the lineup of Networked Security System “gurus” at the upcoming IP-in-Action LIVE seminar in New York on November 14th. His presentation is entitled Leveraging Digital Video Solutions for Today and the Future:

“In many cases (perhaps most cases) companies are not ready to jump into an IP-only solution. Often, they have existing wiring and cameras that can still be utilized without replacement. If an end-user has the flexibility to use existing cameras and wiring while being able to add convenient, cutting edge IP cameras, it’s a win-win situation. It’s important for integrators to be aware of the solution options that exist in the marketplace. This includes true hybrid systems, video servers that convert analog cameras into IP signals, cameras that offer both IP and analog connectivity, and more.”

Daniel Rittman
Director of Engineering for Exacq Technologies Inc.

Dan Rittman is the original founder of Exacq Technologies where he serves as Director of Engineering. He is the designer of the exacqVision hybrid network digital recorder and the eDVR MPEG-4 security system engine. Prior to starting Exacq Technologies Mr. Rittman served as Principal Design Engineer for Integral Technologies and was the primary hardware architect for their XPress and Frameserver products—the underlying technologies for the company’s highly successful digital video recorder product lines.

In the Exacq booth with Bill Zalud

We had an opportunity to discuss the latest with Exacq and the exacqVision product line with Security Magazine’s Bill Zalud at the ASIS Conference in San Diego last month.

In addition to being editor of Security Magazine, Bill also writes the news and opinion for Zalud’s Security Blog, where he was kind enough to mention Exacq.  You can read his entry about us here.
