Report from Miami Beach: Exacq at AFSE 2006

Exacq at Americas' Fire & Security Expo 2006We’ve been at the Americas’ Fire & Security Expo in Miami Beach this week. This show boasts the largest concentration of Latin American security dealers, integrators and distributors of any US-based show. We have been meeting with a number of existing customers, as well as with a number of prospective customers to partner with to sell our exacqVision products throughout Latin America.

A common thread in all of these discussions has been the emerging IP-based video surveillance products, and which products really work and which ones don’t, and which manufacturers are properly addressing this segment with the right kinds of products. We were certainly gratified to see the extreme interest in exacqVision and its ability to seamlessly merge analog and IP cameras. The key points of interest that everyone mentioned about exacqVision were the true hybrid nature of merging the two types of video sources, the ability to configure IP-only based systems in addition to hybrid systems, the ability to merge IP video of any resolution including the megapixel IP cameras, the ability to view analog outputs on spot monitors from even the IP cameras coming in to the system, and the localization of the exacqVision client software into Spanish and Portuguese.

Exacq on SecurityInfoWatch.comOur friends at Security Dealer magazine, publisher Peter Harlick and editor Susan Brady, filed this report on the first day’s activities on their online portal, SecurityInfoWatch.com, and were kind enough to mention Exacq Technologies’ presence at the AFSE show.

exacqVision at Intelligence Seminar 2006

Exacq at Intelligence Seminar 2006The new exacqVision Network DVR product line was featured at the Intelligence Seminar 2006, held June 26 in Herzliya, Israel, by our partner Militram.  Over 300 participants attended the expert seminars and were able to view a host of new products and technologies in security.

The exacqVision Network DVR was cited for its unique approach to digital video surveillance, enabling the seamless integration of analog and IP cameras of any resolution and compression format, the scalability from small to large systems, the secure client-server architecture operating under either Linux or Windows, and the open API allowing integration with other security products, such as video analysis software, access control systems, and more.
